“Salvation for Everyone”

Luke 2:22-40

“For my eyes have seen your salvation which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” From Mary and Joseph to angels and shepherds to magi and now a faithful old man and old woman in the temple, the Christmas story has a universal message.

“Call His Name Jesus”

Luke 1:26-38

God, Gabriel, and Galilee; Joseph and David; Elizabeth and Mary; and the Holy Spirit: we find all of them in this famous Advent/Christmas passage in Luke’s Gospel. The King and the Kingdom

Matthew 25.31-46; Psalm 100

“Investing Your Faith”

Matthew 25:14-30; I Thessalonians 5:1-11

When my kids were little, like any responsible, patriotic, American parents, we’d take them quite often to McDonald’s. Trying to be good and stay on my low cholesterol/avoid-the-upset-stomach diet, I’d order a garden salad. The kids, they’d have the famous happy meal.
