Children & Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church Nearly half of Americans who have made a commitment to Jesus did so by the time they reached age 13. That means we have a unique opportunity right now to tell children about God’s grace and salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In Matthew’s gospel account he writes that Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.” (Matthew 11:25,26) God has revealed himself in a distinctive way to young children, a way that adults sometimes cannot grasp.
