Sunday, October 30 Scheduled Events: What is it?
| First Presbyterian Church has an annual Scottish Festival, or Ceilidh (pronounced KAY-lee, Celtic for "Party"), to celebrate the Scottish heritage of the Presbyterian Church. The festival ends on Reformation Sunday with our special worship service - The Kirkin' o' th' Tartan (Celtic for "Church of the Tartan"). | What does it cost? | Entrance to the festival is free of charge, but you'll need to bring some cash to buy food, participate in the raffle, or buy gifts. An ATM machine will be available on site. | Where does the money go? | Each year we choose different community charities to benefit from the Ceilidh proceeds. This year's beneficiaries are The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake and The Utah Youth Mentor Project (supporting youth aging out of foster care). |
