James Holeman, Associate Pastor

James joined First Pres in March of 2008. He grew up in a military family and lived in many places as a child, including Germany, Illinois, and Japan. One constant amidst the change was always being nurtured by a church family wherever he lived. Although he moved many times, he spent most of his older childhood in Seattle, Washington. While in Junior High, James began to have a greater understanding of what it meant to have faith in God, and he gave his heart to Christ. This led to becoming a more active member of church - helping with youth leadership teams, working at Christian summer camps, and teaching Sunday school. 

After graduating from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, James felt called into full time ministry. He spent five years working as a youth director which nurtured the call to pastoral ministry and he received a Masters degree in Divinity from Fuller Seminary Northwest. 

He now joins First Pres with his wife, Vicky, whom he met in college at Western Washington University. Vicky is a teacher, and they are the proud parents of Jack Jonathan and Fiona Grace.
