But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. Micah 5:2 Christmas is about big gifts in small packages. Jesus Christ, the Word of God, came to earth as a little fragile child. The Light to the World came to a little town called Bethlehem. The Prince of Peace was laid in a manger. An angelic chorus heralded the birth to only a handful of lowly shepherds.
Small packages can contain a very large gift. Today you have an opportunity to give some small packages; maybe a pair of gloves or a hat for the homeless…maybe a carol to someone who feels down. And yet, small packages can contain huge gifts. - On December 13th Participate in the Warming of the Tree to help Pamela’s Closet. Bring something to help those in our community.
