Weddings

First Presbyterian Church (FPC) is available for weddings for both FPC members and non-members.

Presbyterians believe that marriage is a gift of God, and that a wedding service is a time when a Christian woman and man make a life-long commitment to each other, publicly witnessed and acknowledged by God, friends, family, and community.  All wedding services at FPC must be services of Christian worship, conducted by an ordained pastor.

At FPC, we want marriage to have a strong foundation.  Therefore, we ask that a couple meet with the pastor three or four times in preparation for their new life together and that they attend church regularly - either at FPC or at their home church - so that they may include God within their marriage relationship.

A meeting with the pastor must be set up prior to committing to a date or submitting a wedding application (see below).
